Hello. . I just started Nordic Walking. . I have been doing between an hour and an hour and a half walks with my walking poles. My intensity level is high. I have seen that Nordic Walking at a high intensity level burns as much as cross country skiing. . Any idea? Any websites that have a specific amount? Let me know. I think I found an answer. Congrats on starting a wonderful exercise. I'm a pretty intense Nordic walker and according to my 95% accurate perdometer, I burn approximately 600 calories an hour. I've been Nordic walking since August 1, 2007 and I feel better. I noticed my arms were shaping up a month after I started this exercise and this was before I started weight training. So from my experience, Nordic walking works. It helps me maintain my 35 lb weight loss.
