Ice Skating

Well last, last week was my first time to ice skate, and I'm 13 xD. So anyways I already love ice skating even though ive been on the rink for 3 times. I'm planning to get lessons and I might skate 2-3 times a week for an hour to 3 hrs. I'm 5'1 and weigh 130 lbs and when I searched about lessons, its says its a good way to lose weight. I find Exercising is hard for me, and I think this is the solution. So anyways how much weight can I lose mostly all mo with proper diet. I think I found an answer. You lose weight by burning more calories than you consume. Ice skating burns a pretty good amount of calories. If you eat a very healthy diet and skate about 5 hours a week, you could probably lose 2-3 pounds in a mo realistically. Once you progress into more advanced figure skating (flying spins, double jumps), you will be burning many more calories and you'll probably want to start eating more calories and adding more protein to your diet.

Olympic figure skating silver medalist Sasha Cohen takes Michelle out on the ice rink and teaches her a few basic ice skating tips and moves in this exclusiv. . .

  1. Depends on how active you are and how you eat now. As far as I've seen most people don't lose all that much. Maybe a few pounds in the beginning but nothing drastic. Not saying that skating isn't a great workout because it is. But it's impossible to estimate how much weight you're going to lose, if any.
